RMT, Certified Yoga Teacher, Owner/Founder & Manager of Better Balance Wellness Inc., Educator & Entrepreneur.

Practicing since Jan 2008, Alana has been working primarily in a rehabilitative setting within the Kingston community (K-Town Physiotherapy & KOPI – the Kingston Orthopaedic Pain Institute). Alana is also a proud graduate of the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy, a reputable & founding college of Massage Therapy in Ontario. 

She has an instructing and supervising background with the Massage Therapy Students of Trillium College (Kingston Campus) since October 2011. She also has had the wonderful experience of writing course content and teaching business to the SLC’s International Health Care & Business Admin students in the fall & winter of 2022.

Yoga

Alana completed her YTT200 (Yoga Teacher Training) in 2020, through Janati Yoga school. She often incorporates specific and appropriate yoga into her Massage Therapy sessions, either as part of self-care (Remedial Exercise) or on the table. As she focuses on breath and mindfulness, you can expect to be led in a safe and accessible way, and leave feeling uplifted, relaxed and more connected with your body & mind. 

If you’re looking to try one of her yoga classes, you can find her teaching various types of Yoga classes such as Hatha, Yin, Vinyasa & Remedial Yoga. She has also taught various ages and levels at other indoor and outdoor community events, small group settings and one-one-one guidance. 

She has also completed additional wellness classes, workshops, & retreats in: Meditation, MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction), & Yoga
